Earn More, Save More A September 10, 2014 article stated, "A recent report in the New York Times backs him up: trucker pay is too low to lure the number of drivers the industry needs. ATA itself projects that there are 30,000 fewer drivers than the industry needs right now, 'a number on track to rise to 200,000 over the next decade' in part because inflation-adjusted driver pay has fallen by more than $2,000 per year over the past decade." How does it feel to have lost more $20,000 in income over the last 10 years? Wouldn't you like to more than make up for that loss?
