Prevent This!A July 7, 2015, article revealed that a truck driver "took his eyes off the road to take a drink of coffee", which led to a predictable series of events:
A few moments of distracted driving in order to get a drink led to a totally preventable truck accident. What this article doesn't say is whether or not the trucker will have to pay for any of the physical damage done. We are aware of at least one trucking company that self insures. When one of their truckers is involved in an accident, the trucker must pay the first $500, even if it has to be deducted out of his/her paycheck a little at a time. Although drinking coffee isn't eating while driving, the premise of "consumption" while driving is the same. If you feel that you need to eat or drink anything while driving, the safest course of action is to park your truck safely and legally first. ReviewsI've had mine for over 2yrs...big disappoint!!! Stay away from it!! Can't download the updates or get help from customer service either!!!
