Many times, we have addressed the issues associated with involuntary loss of trucker income due to issues including (but not limited to) accidents, congestion, bad weather, and detention in docks.

However, some truckers participate in planned strikes and protests of various kinds (like the April 12 shut down that was planned today).

Non-union workers who are paid by the mile, load or task -- and who refuse to work when work is available -- aren't earning any money.

Having two incomes instead of one makes the thought of standing on principle a little easier to swallow.
