• Cell Phone Trouble
  
  On Monday, March 24, 2021, Mike's Android cell phone started acting weird and it impacted his ability to make deliveries.
  
  Thinking it was a hardware issue, Mike took his cell phone to our local Verizon store and a worker there told him that Google had crashed!
  
  According to the information he received -- which worked for Mike -- here was how to fix his Android device:
  1. Navigate to Play Store app
  2. Search for Android System WebView
  3. Select the "Update" option
  4. Repeat these steps for Google Chrome
     
     
  The explanation on the page reads:
  
  "This issue starts with Android throwing up prompts that warn how apps 'keep closing.' Applications that are in the background and not currently open are also affected."
  
  So, the next time you encounter something like this, consider updating your phone first before taking it in for servicing.
  
  That could save you a lot of time, effort, money -- or all three!

There are regular inspections that are done on Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs), including:

• those that are done for overall safety and
  
  
• those specifically targeting truck brakes.

As we've reported in the past, it is far better to keep one's truck in top order and not pour "money down the drain" on something safety related that was totally preventable.

Company truckers who sign a "condition of employment" that they will personally pay the fine for safety violations may not realize just how expensive some of those violations can be, especially if the trucks they are driving are put out of service and mechanics have to travel from a distance to fix/repair it/them.

Even with one's careful preparations, sometimes things can go wrong -- expensive things.

It's always wise to consider not having to rely on a single source of income to meet one's needs.

Consider learning how to earn a second income from the cab of your truck.
