There are regular inspections that are done on Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs), including:

As we've reported in the past, it is far better to keep one's truck in top order and not pour "money down the drain" on something safety related that was totally preventable.

Company truckers who sign a "condition of employment" that they will personally pay the fine for safety violations may not realize just how expensive some of those violations can be, especially if the trucks they are driving are put out of service and mechanics have to travel from a distance to fix/repair it/them.

Please watch weather patterns and take precautions not to be caught in treacherous weather.

You are the one who is in charge of operating your truck, so evaluate carefully whether or not it is safe to travel when weather turns bad (or is forecast to turn bad).

To all of our readers who are professional truck drivers, we wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road!
