Important Notice
- Prepare for Spring
For those areas that observe it, Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
Spring officially begins Sunday, March 20, 2022.
In some places, snow is still falling (and lots of it!) and in other places, temperatures and seasonal health challenges are rising.
Please stay alert as the seasons change -- and take care of your health.
We personally enjoy using natural products that help to support all of our bodies' systems, including our immune systems and our respiratory systems.
Would you like to know more about those?
- Filing Taxes
Tax laws continually change, so the best thing for some truckers to do is to consult a competent tax preparer who stays well acquainted with all laws and changes.
Truckers who have their own businesses -- and their home support team members -- may find the following helpful.
Hurdlr (which replaced and greatly surpasses Taxbot that we used for years) is:
"An automatic business expense and mileage tracker app that keeps tabs of all of your income streams, expenses, and tax deductions in real-time, on the go!"
Vicki always dreaded adding the exact same monthly expense into Taxbot twelve times each year, each entry differing only by the date and individual PDF of a receipt.
Not so with Hurdlr, as there is now an option for setting recurring expenses on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
Vicki has found that she saves a great deal of time with Hurdlr's recurring expense feature.
She still has to save each month's receipt individually, but even that feature is fast!
We highly recommend this service and for full disclosure, if you sign up for Hurdlr with this link and then upgrade, we will receive a reward.

Earn More, Save More
The westbound lanes of I-80 near Grantsville, Utah, were slated to be closed for 2-3 hours because of a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Wednesday, March 2.
Based on the way Vicki read the article, this was a totally preventable accident.
However, what if you had been westbound a little farther east than where the accident happened and been delayed because of it?
That's time that you will never get back.
A bit of the sting of that realization is eased for those truckers who take action to earn a second income from the cabs of their trucks.

Travel restrictions in many places in the USA have eased, which means that when spring rolls around, more people will be on the road seeking recreational entertainment.
Please exercise caution around recreational vehicles and non-commercial vehicles that are towing anything.
Sometimes these folks truly don't understand the size and turning radius of their vehicles.
As far as we know, non-commercial operators of large or multi-part vehicles are not required to take any kind of test to make sure they know how.
So, it's best to prepare in advance to give them room.
To all of our readers who are professional truck drivers, we wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road!
