Date: 4/7/2010
Location: Love’s Travel Stop, Waco, GA, I-20, exit 9
Overall Facility: Shower Review Loves Georgia Waco
- Showers assigned by clerk via pull tabs (not automatically via kiosk)
- During the middle of the day, we had to wait for a shower for about 20 minutes.
- Announcement about which shower customer was next was not able to be heard throughout the facility but could be heard nearer to showers
- Two displays of shower customer number were in the facility, one near the cashier closest to the truck fuel island, the other in the fast food restaurant area
- Shower is free with minimum 50 gallon purchase of fuel from a Love’s Travel Stop anywhere in the nation within the last 7 days.
Shower #5 (equipped for the handicapped)
Pros: Shower Review Loves Georgia Waco
- Two towels were waiting for us in the shower
- Truck stop manager escorted us back to the shower and gave us a third towel (because there are two of us)
- Shower was clean upon arrival
- Counter space at sink was non-existent but there was a shelf nearby
- Fan worked well; could be oscillated
- Mirror was well positioned on wall behind sink for both short and tall drivers
- Light was directly above the mirror, so that male drivers could get a close shave without nicking
- Water pressure from sink was good
- Electrical outlets worked well
- Water pressure in shower was good
- There were two water delivery mechanisms in the shower, a standard showerhead and a hand-held one at the end of a short hose
- Both showerheads could be positioned as needed
- Shower was designed as a large opening covered by a shower curtain
- Shower “stall” had handrails for the handicapped.
- Shower curtain prevented shower spray from splattering on floor outside stall
- Door had a deadbolt lock
- Towels were sufficiently absorbent
- Washcloths were thicker than the towels
- Toilet flushed well
- Hooks were directly outside of shower stall; was easy to reach for towel from inside the stall upon completion of shower
- Directly above the shower stall, there was an air vent to pull moisture out of the room. We never experienced fogging of the mirror.
- This shower was large, well lit and pleasant
Cons: Shower Review Loves Georgia Waco
- Counter space was non-existent
- Movable chair was not wide enough to handle an oversized shower bag
