Review Of Truckers Voice In Court

By: Eden Norton,
calif.

Services Review InvitationI paid into TVC for two yrs . Got a speeding tkt. in Jan. Their lawyer completely botched the paperwork requiring original , not faxed release forms. Judge closed case for lack of proper filing, GUILTY. Then, the lawyer missed the 20 deadline to file my appeal. TVC clearly wants to take NO Responsiblity for the negligence of this Attorney, and it appears that they want me to continue to pay for Very Poor legal defense. TVC refuses to address this {expletive deleted} up in a morally responsible manner. Basically, I wasted my money for lousy help. Thanx a bunch TVC. Could’ve done better myself. I actually had a decent chance for an ammendment, but not now. I now have a Conviction, and could be fired. Beware of TVC, or any other prepaid legal service. They hire lawyers that are not obligated to appear in court if needed. I must be in the 8% , instead or the 92%, Right. My advice is either take time off to fight case yourself, or pay more for a lawyer who actually SHOWS UP AT COURT. {Email address deleted.}

Response from Vicki:

Eden, we’re so sorry you had this experience. Nothing is quite so frustrating as to think that you’re paying for competent and qualified legal counsel only to find that you haven’t. Ouch!

DAT TruckersEdge - Most Loads. Best Rates. Serving Owner-Operators Since 1978. 10% off your first 12 months. New customers only.

We’d be interested in hearing from other drivers who have had Truckers Voice in Court “represent” them in a legal matter. If there is widespread discontent, perhaps some kind of action can be taken. Drivers, this is your opportunity to speak out.

In the meantime, we wish you save travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.

Best regards,
Vicki Simons

DO NOT USE TVC, THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! MOST OF ALL THEY COULD COST YOU YOUR JOB. TVC APPOINTED US AN ATTORNEY THAT DOES NOT EVEN APPEAR IN COURT. THE SECOND ATTORNEY WOULD NOT EVEN RETURN PHONE CALLS AND HIS ASSISTANT WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL..WHEN WE SIGNED UP WITH TVC THEY ASSURED US THEIR ATTORNEYS WILL FIGHT FOR YOU IN COURT..LIES LIES LIES. I CALLED TVC TO CANCEL OUR MEMBERSHIP AND REQUESTED A REFUND, THEY BECAME VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK TO ANYONE IN UPPER MANAGEMENT NOR WOULD THEY PROVIDE ME WITH THEIR LAST NAME.. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL OR HONEST IN ANY WAY.. PLEASE BEWARE OF TVC!!!!!!!!

Drivers Steer away from TVC by Anonymous

I received a speeding ticket in Ohio and reported it to my employer and was advised to find legal help. Called TVC and they stated that they only needed 47.85 for membership then they said they needed 295.00 to have an attorney to appear in court. They had me to contact the court and was notified that if I paid the ticket that there were no points involved. I attempted to call TVC and all the lady could do is curse. I told her that I wanted to cancel and come to find out they charged me double. Will go to bank to dispute charges. TVC was at no help at all. Please steer clear.

Response from Vicki:

Thanks for sharing your experience. We are so sorry that this ended badly for you.

Any time a person pays a ticket, that is an admission of guilt. The whole purpose of getting a “voice in court” is to “fight” a ticket, not pay it!

Not only that, but a moving violation in any vehicle (even your truck) against your CDL will most likely lead to higher insurance rates for your personal vehicle(s).

If you paid for your TVC membership with a credit card, and if it didn’t happen a really long time ago (depends on the terms of your credit card), see if you can contact your credit card company to dispute the charge and get a refund.

We hope that you’re able to recover something and that this matter will be resolved in a manner better than you currently have reason to hope.

We wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.

Best regards,
Vicki

Use TVC at your peril by Tim

I used this service for a traffic citation (speeding) in Oregon. They found a JD/PHd for me but basically all he did was give me some paper to write out the affidavit and let me use his fax machine. I could have done as much from a truck stop. Then after providing IRREFUTABLE evidence that I was innocent, I was still convicted. What’s the use of paying for this kind of service?
