Hello,

DAT TruckersEdge - Most Loads. Best Rates. Serving Owner-Operators Since 1978. 10% off your first 12 months. New customers only.

We appreciate your willingness to let us know about this laundry service, but a $25 minimum to pick up, wash, dry, fold and deliver laundry the same day? Yes, you can save a good bit of time by having someone else do your laundry for you, but that service seems a bit pricey to us.

We would like to see a monetary breakdown between the laundry service’s costs and how much it costs for a professional truck driver to do his or her own laundry at a company terminal (assuming there is a washer and dryer there) or at a laundromat.

If a company terminal has only one washer and one dryer — and a trucker has a lot of dirty clothes to wash — then the processing of one load at a time can be very time consuming. On the other hand, public laundromats often have not only multiple machines but various sized machines to handle everything from a single load all the way up to 5 loads or more.

We would like to hear from drivers who have used a laundry service and are satisfied that they got their money’s worth. Please answer these questions:
1. How much laundry (in pounds) needed to be processed?
2. How much time and money would it have taken you to process your own laundry?
3. How did the laundry service save you money in the end?

We would also be interested to know if there are drivers who have used a laundry service on the road when they can get clothes washed at home or assign the task to an in-truck home support team member.

Finally, we would like to hear from other professional truck drivers regarding the specific service mentioned in the submission above. What has been the quality of the service you have received?

Thanks for broaching this subject.

We wish you safe travels and lots of money saving opportunities on the road.

Best regards,
Vicki Simons

laundry service breakdown by Anonymous

i have used Wash N Go before for my laundry service. please be advised they only wash/dry/fold or hang. this is not a drycleaners. the $25 minimum is for 1 to 25lbs of clothes-this means if you have less that 25lbs they still charge for upto 25lbs if you use free delivery. if you drop it off yourself the minimum is only $10. but guys think of the convenience- after a long day driving, who wants to spend 2-3hrs washing and folding. plus parking big rigs at many places is a problem. i drive for schneider and trust me its worth every penny. my last bill was $28-if i had done it myself it would cost $12 total counting soap etc. plus i had a huge sleeping bag and a dozen dirty jeans. good luck.
