Review This ProductThis stove works great, I love it. But it doesn’t last, I’ve had it a month and it’s no longer working. I can plug it in the light comes on showing there is power at the cord but the stove will not power on and I’ve only used it a dozen time or so. I drive a truck and I’m on the road for two months at a time and this was a money saver since I can cook my own foods. Now I have to buy another stove and I’m not happy about it

Hi, Brandon. Thanks for sharing your product review about the Burton Stove to Go. I’m sorry that you’ve experienced this trouble. My husband Mike and I have had many problems with 12-volt cooking appliances in the past.

If you purchased this product at a truck stop that has a 30-day return policy, then you won’t have success in getting your money back there.

If you have any of the original paperwork that came with your stove, look for the warranty. If the warranty is still in place — and you still have your receipt — contact the manufacturer to ask about resolution to your issue.

In the meantime, is there any reason why you can’t use a small crock pot or slow cooker — powered by an inverter — to accomplish the same kind of cooking that you did in the “lunchbox oven”?

Mike and I have found that a crock pot is pretty versatile for warming and cooking foods. Two exceptions may be rice and pasta (which in our opinion turn out a bit soggy when cooked for long periods of time).
